The local specialities include Pacific Salmon and Vancouver Island Oysters. There are numerous places to eat on a budget. Most of the eateries in Whistler compare well in value to their European counterparts. The mountain restaurants all resemble canteens and deserve no further mention!

The nightlife in Whistler is legendary. There are numerous bars at the foot of the slopes that are lively from mid-afternoon onwards. Most people stay out and go straight to dinner, such is the informal dress code here. If you still have the energy there is a vibrant music scene in Whistler. Famous DJs and live music acts performing the resorts's clubs and bars regularly.
