Isola 2000 — Where to stay

As a typical 1970s purpose-built resort much of the accommodation in Isola 2000 is to be found in the concrete jungle at the heart of the resort and around the Front de Neige. In recent years a few charming chalet developments have sprung up around the periphery though and so the range of tourist beds on offer has improved. If self-catering is your thing and you are looking for ski to the door convenience you will be spoilt for choice in Isola, with PV Holidays offering a huge range of apartments and studios. Finding accommodation that includes catering is surprisingly tricky in Isola without the abundance of catered chalets found in the resorts of the Northern Alps. Hotels are few and far between too and Club Hotel Le Chastillon is one of the better 3 star options on the Front de Neige with high service standards. Hotel Le Druos is a more modestly-priced 2-star offering in the same area with a functional but friendly feel. If you have a bigger budget take a look at the 5-star Hotel Diva with its popular cocktail bar and a restaurant that features in the Michelin guide. This hotel occupies a commanding position and many rooms boast spectacular views to the South from their balconies. For a greater variety of accommodation consider staying down towards the Cote d’Azur and driving up to the lifts each morning.
