Les Carroz — Where to stay

Les Carroz is a traditional village and therefore has a high percentage of chalet accommodation and just a handful of hotels and apartment complexes. There are several British-run establishments and the proximity to Geneva has made the resort a firm favourite with catered chalet operators. Amongst the biggest operators are Skiology with a flexible approach to dates and a reputation for fine food, lescarroski.com with two charming catered chalets sleeping 8 – 10. Ski Fusion is a small owner-operated company with cosy catered and self-catered chalets at sensible prices. Smaller apartment options for people looking to self-cater are provided by the tourist office and by Snowbeds.com .
 
There are a limited number of hotels in Les Carroz but that doesn’t mean that good deals can’t be found. The best budget option is the Hotel La Croix de la Savoie but in exchange for the low prices you will have to be prepared to walk 15 minutes to the piste and village centre. A public bus service runs every day though. In a more central location the Hotel L’Arabron is a bit more modern and serves excellent food in the evenings.  Here you can stay from €78 per night, half board.  Enjoy a view of the pistes, be in stumbling distance of the bars and restaurants and on the main bus route! Les Carroz doesn’t have any hotels for the real luxury end of the market but guest house La Bergerie is a truly beautiful renovation in a central position offering three guest bedrooms and much better than average facilities.
