Les Deux Alpes — Food and drink

If you are an apres-ski aficionado then bring your dancing shoes, because this is a party town, and the fun continues well into the small hours. Les Deux Alpes has, without question, one of the most vibrant apres-ski scenes in the French Alps, with bars catering for almost every taste. Smithy’s Tavern is probably the best place for a late night party, but the options are plentiful!
 
Les Deux Alpes is not as well known for its gastronomy and the food on offer has been criticised in the past. Nowadays, the resort centre offers a much improved selection with over 40 restaurants ranging from takeaways to classy establishments that are listed in the Michelin and Gault Miliau guides. Most mountain restaurants still suffer from being nondescript self-service places with average food at above average prices. The exception to the rule is the new Diable au Coeur restaurant built in 2005 which offers imaginative dishes in a stunning location.
