Laax/Flims — Food and drink

There is a good choice of mountain restaurants to suit all budgets in the Alpenarena, although you need to plan ahead if you're looking for something specific. The southerly facing slopes of Laax are perfect for sunning yourself at lunchtime.

There are over 20 mountain restaurants meaning you can enjoy a different view every day. Just above the terrain park at the Crap Sogn Gion sits Cafe NoName, which is good for a sandwich or hot chocolate and offers a terrace to watch all the action in the park.

The Tegia Larnags at 1160m and just 10-minutes up from, or 2-minutes down to, Laax Murschatg offers fine dining in an informal traditional setting.

What's on the menu?

Most restaurants serve classic Swiss dishes, but a wider variety is found in the villages where there are gourmet restaurants and even a steakhouse inside a genuine wigwam at La Vacca. There is a pizza restaurant in Laax Murschetg and the Rocks Resort houses some contemporary international restaurants. Flims Waldhaus is home to the Restaurant Little China in addition to the fine local cuisine and Italian-style offerings.

Nightlife

The three main areas of Laax, Flims and Falera offer something for everyone. Laax Murschetg is definitely the place to go for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. They hold regular music and club nights in the Rocks Resort and in the Riders Palace. The Crap Bar at the bottom of the home run from the Crap Sogn Gion offers notorious après-ski.
Flims appeals to young families and a mature clientele. The nightlife is convivial without ever getting raucous. Most of the bars are attached to the hotels, but for a change of scene it is worth sampling the après ski on the hill.
If you are looking for something louder consider a night out to the nearby city of Chur, just 15 minutes away by bus.
