Saas-Fee — On the piste

The 140km of pistes in Saas Fee offer something for everyone, and all abilities will benefit from the jaw-dropping scenery. You don’t find many beginner areas with such spectacular settings and if a novice is ever going to get addicted to skiing it will likely be against this backdrop. If you are new to skiing you should head to the Sandiger Boden and progress to the gentle blues of Felskinn. Don’t be put off by the fact that there are no green runs here as in French resorts. Saas Fee only uses a blue, red, black coding.
 
Intermediates will love the runs off the top of Allalin and advanced skiers are well catered for too with regular powder days around the top of Langfluh. It may be worth working your way up the mountain slowly to minimise altitude sickness. Off-piste is limited due to the glacial nature of the local area, but the area is great for ski touring.
